This chili recipe is certified by the American Heart Association and cannot be any easier to prepare. Just 40 minutes in the kitchen and it tastes like it's been simmering for hours. Serves 4 delicious, healthy portions.
1 lb. of ground beef
15 oz. can reduced-sodium black beans
15 oz. can unsalted beef broth
15 oz. can unsalted diced tomatoes
4oz can diced green chilies or jalapeno peppers
2 tbsp chili powder
Add any of these toppings for a tasty presentation:
sour cream, chopped cilantro, green onions, sliced black olives, shredded cheese, or sliced avocado.
